To really make a mess out of a music video you need to use your imagination.

A lot of people seem to be involved in sabotage in Britney Spears' 'Sometimes' video. The director, the choreographer, the costume designer - pretty much everyone seems to want to fuck things up for Britney except the romantic interest and his dog, who are both clearly trying their little hearts out. But the person we really have to learn from here is Crotch-scratching Extra at 1.16 -1.18.

So subtle, so simple and so completely devastating! It's breaking one of the oldest rules in showbiz, which is that the star is the only person allowed to touch their crotch in a music video.

What do you think drove her to do it? Probably she was also a dancer in the video and decided to exact revenge for the heinous choreographic humiliation of 2.36 - 2.40. Or maybe she just cracked the shits when Britney momentarily turned into Suzanne Somers at the 2.22 - 2.23 mark and began exhibiting a whole range of anti-social behaviours. Whatever her reasons, Crotch-scratching Extra is the master saboteur!
